  • All digital thermostats will take a few days to adapt to their new environment. They will retain time and settings during a power cut, but will not control the heating.
  • The Optimum Start Feature is based on an algorithm that will start up to 2 hours before your program set time. The heating may not necessarily come on then, but the unit will examine the ambient room temperature from this point onwards.
  • Yes it has a temporary override that can be timed (up to 4 hours) or until the next time/temperature change. The Cstat 17B is battery powered, the Cstat 17M is mains powered. As you only have 2 wires, you will need the Cstat 17B.
